Indications

Terbicon Cream is indicated for the treatment of common fungal skin infections, including:

• Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot)
• Tinea cruris (jock itch)
• Tinea corporis (ringworm)
• Cutaneous candidiasis
• Pityriasis versicolor (fungal skin discoloration)

It is especially effective against dermatophytes, yeasts, and certain molds responsible for skin infections.

Mechanism of Action

Terbinafine works by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase in fungal cells. This results in:

• Disruption of ergosterol synthesis (essential for fungal cell membrane)
• Accumulation of squalene, which is toxic to fungi
  This dual action leads to rapid fungal cell death and clearance of infection.

Dosage and Administration

• Apply a thin layer of Terbicon Cream to the affected area once or twice daily, as directed by a physician.
• Clean and dry the affected area before application.
• Gently rub the cream into the skin until fully absorbed.
• Wash hands after use unless the hands are the treated area.

Treatment duration may vary:

• Athlete’s foot: 1–2 weeks
• Jock itch and ringworm: 1–2 weeks
