Pansec Injection 40 mg/vial contains Pantoprazole Sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that effectively reduces gastric acid secretion. It is indicated for the short-term treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders when oral therapy is not feasible or appropriate. Pansec Injection provides rapid acid suppression, making it suitable for hospitalized patients and emergency clinical settings.
Pantoprazole works by selectively inhibiting the hydrogen-potassium ATPase enzyme system (proton pump) in the gastric parietal cells. By blocking this final step in acid production, it significantly decreases both basal and stimulated gastric acid secretion. This helps promote healing of acid-related damage in the stomach and esophagus while relieving associated symptoms such as pain, heartburn, and irritation.
Pansec Injection 40 mg/vial is supplied as a sterile powder for reconstitution and intravenous administration. It is typically used under medical supervision in hospitals or clinical facilities.
