Indications

Exovate N Cream is indicated for the treatment of steroid-responsive dermatoses where secondary bacterial and/or fungal infection is present or suspected, including:

• Fungal skin infections associated with marked inflammation

• Mixed infections requiring anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal therapy

Pharmacology

Clobetasol Propionate is a very potent topical corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. It works by suppressing inflammatory mediators, reducing cytokine production, inhibiting arachidonic acid metabolism, and decreasing immune cell activity, thereby rapidly relieving redness, swelling, and itching.

Neomycin Sulphate is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic that acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, making it effective against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria commonly associated with secondary skin infections.

Nystatin is an antifungal agent that binds to sterols in fungal cell membranes, increasing membrane permeability and leading to fungal cell death. It is particularly effective against Candida species.

The combined action ensures effective control of inflammation while eradicating bacterial and fungal pathogens.

Dosage and Administration

• Apply a thin layer of Exovate N Cream to the affected area once or twice daily

Contraindications

Exovate N Cream is contraindicated in patients with:
