Brinop Suspension 1% contains Brinzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor used in ophthalmology to reduce elevated intraocular pressure. It is primarily indicated for patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. By lowering intraocular pressure, Brinop Suspension helps prevent progressive optic nerve damage and preserves visual function when used as part of long-term eye care.

Each ml of ophthalmic suspension contains:
Brinzolamide 1%
Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor
Anti-glaucoma agent
Brinzolamide is a selective inhibitor of carbonic anhydrase II, an enzyme found in high concentration within the ciliary processes of the eye. This enzyme plays a crucial role in the formation of aqueous humor. By inhibiting carbonic anhydrase II, brinzolamide reduces the production of bicarbonate ions, leading to decreased sodium and fluid transport into the posterior chamber.
As a result, aqueous humor secretion is reduced, which leads to a sustained lowering of intraocular pressure. Unlike systemic carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, topical brinzolamide acts locally in the eye and is generally associated with fewer systemic side effects. Its targeted action makes it suitable for long-term use in the management of glaucoma.
Brinop Suspension 1% is indicated for:
Open-angle glaucoma
Ocular hypertension
Patients who require reduction of elevated intraocular pressure
Use as monotherapy or in combination with other anti-glaucoma medications
Brinop Suspension is intended for ophthalmic use only. The usual recommended dose is one drop in the affected eye(s) two to three times daily, or as prescribed by an ophthalmologist. The bottle should be shaken well before each use to ensure uniform distribution of the suspension.
If more than one ophthalmic product is being used, an interval of at least 5 minutes should be maintained between applications.
Effectively lowers elevated intraocular pressure
Helps prevent optic nerve damage and vision loss
Suitable for long-term glaucoma management
Can be used alone or as adjunctive therapy
Localized ocular action with minimal systemic effects
For ophthalmic use only; not for injection or oral use
Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment
Temporary blurred vision or ocular discomfort may occur after instillation
