Indications

Aciphin Injection 500 mg is indicated for:

• Bone and joint infections
• Meningitis caused by susceptible bacteria
• Septicemia and other systemic infections
• Certain sexually transmitted infections such as gonorrhea

Mechanism of Action

Ceftriaxone is a bactericidal antibiotic that:

• Binds to penicillin-binding proteins, inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis
• Causes bacterial cell lysis and death
• Provides broad-spectrum activity against both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria

Dosage and Administration
