Pharmacology

Xylometazoline Hydrochloride

Its onset of action is quick, providing fast relief from blocked nose.

Sodium Cromoglicate
Sodium cromoglicate is a mast cell stabilizer that prevents the release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine from sensitized mast cells. By inhibiting this release, it helps prevent allergic reactions in the nasal passages. Unlike decongestants, sodium cromoglicate works prophylactically and is most effective when used regularly.

Dosage and Administration

Unless otherwise directed by a physician:

• Adults and children above 6 years: One spray into each nostril up to two times daily

The spray should be used for the shortest duration necessary. Prolonged or excessive use of nasal decongestants is not recommended.

Method of Use

• Gently blow the nose before use

• Keep the bottle upright

• Insert the nozzle into the nostril and press once while inhaling gently

• Repeat for the other nostril

Contraindications

Xylo Plus Nasal Spray is contraindicated in patients with:

• Known hypersensitivity to sodium cromoglicate, xylometazoline, or any component of the formulation

• Atrophic rhinitis

• Recent nasal surgery unless advised by a physician

Side Effects
