Indications

Sodicrom DS Eye Drop is indicated for:

• Allergic conjunctivitis (mild to severe)
• Seasonal allergic eye irritation (hay fever-related symptoms)
• Perennial allergic conjunctivitis
• Eye itching, redness, and watering due to allergens
• Prevention of recurrent allergic eye reactions in sensitive patients

Mechanism of Action

Sodium Cromoglicate works by stabilizing mast cells in the conjunctiva, preventing the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators responsible for allergic responses. This action helps reduce allergic symptoms and prevents flare-ups when used regularly. The higher 4% strength provides enhanced control in more resistant or frequent allergic conditions.

Dosage & Administration

• Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) 4 times daily or as directed by a physician
• For prevention, regular use during allergen exposure is recommended
• Wash hands before use
• Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye
• Continue use even after symptom relief for sustained protection

Precautions

• For ophthalmic use only
• Remove contact lenses before application; wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion
• Avoid contamination of dropper tip
• Use with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to ingredients
