Indications

Sleepwel Tablet 2 mg is indicated for:

• Short-term treatment of insomnia
• Difficulty initiating sleep (sleep onset insomnia)
• Frequent nocturnal awakenings
• Poor sleep maintenance and fragmented sleep
• Stress or anxiety-related sleep disturbances (as advised by physician)

Mechanism of Action

Eszopiclone enhances the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. By binding to GABA-A receptor complexes, it produces a calming and sedative effect. This helps reduce sleep latency (time to fall asleep) and improves sleep duration and continuity without significantly altering normal sleep structure when used appropriately.

Dosage & Administration

• Dosage must be determined by a physician based on patient response and condition
• Usually taken once daily immediately before bedtime
• Should only be taken when at least 7–8 hours of sleep time is available
• Do not exceed prescribed dose
• Avoid alcohol or other sedative medications during use

Precautions
