Rosutin EZ 10 mg + 10 mg Tablet is a combination lipid-lowering therapy designed for patients with high cholesterol and mixed dyslipidemia. It combines Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, with Ezetimibe, a cholesterol absorption inhibitor, to provide a dual mechanism of action for reducing harmful cholesterol levels. This synergistic approach helps lower LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, and triglycerides, while modestly increasing HDL cholesterol, ultimately reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Rosutin EZ Tablet is indicated for:
Primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial)
Mixed dyslipidemia (Fredrickson Type IIa and IIb)
Patients not achieving LDL-C goals with statin monotherapy
Primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in high-risk individuals
This combination is particularly beneficial for patients requiring enhanced LDL-C reduction beyond what a single agent can achieve.
The combination of Rosuvastatin + Ezetimibe acts through two complementary mechanisms:
Rosuvastatin (10 mg): A selective HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that decreases cholesterol synthesis in the liver. It increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors, enhancing the uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol and reducing total cholesterol and triglycerides.
Ezetimibe (10 mg): Inhibits intestinal absorption of dietary and biliary cholesterol at the brush border of the small intestine. This reduces the amount of cholesterol delivered to the liver, leading to further upregulation of LDL receptors and additional LDL-C lowering.
Together, these mechanisms provide greater lipid-lowering efficacy than either agent alone.
Adults: One tablet once daily, with or without food, at any time of the day.
The dose may be adjusted based on therapeutic response and tolerability.
It is intended for patients whose LDL-C levels are not adequately controlled by statin therapy alone.
Rosutin EZ should be used in combination with a cholesterol-lowering diet and lifestyle modifications such as weight control, exercise, and smoking cessation.
Cyclosporine, gemfibrozil, or certain protease inhibitors: May increase exposure to Rosuvastatin; dose adjustments or caution are recommended.
Warfarin: Rosuvastatin may alter INR; monitor closely.
Other lipid-lowering therapies: Co-administration with fibrates or niacin may increase the risk of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis.
Known hypersensitivity to Rosuvastatin, Ezetimibe, or any tablet components
Active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevations of hepatic transaminases
Pregnancy and lactation
