Radiglip Tablet 100 mg contains Sitagliptin 100 mg, an oral antidiabetic medicine used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It belongs to the class of DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) inhibitors and helps improve blood glucose control by enhancing the body’s natural incretin hormones.
It is prescribed along with proper diet and regular exercise and may be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medications.

Radiglip 100 mg is indicated for:
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus
Improvement of glycemic control in adults
Monotherapy when diet and exercise alone are insufficient
Combination therapy with:
Metformin
Sulfonylureas
Insulin
Thiazolidinediones
SGLT2 inhibitors (as prescribed)
It is not indicated for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
Sitagliptin works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which breaks down incretin hormones such as GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide).
By blocking DPP-4, sitagliptin:
Increases insulin release in a glucose-dependent manner
Decreases glucagon secretion
Reduces glucose production by the liver
Lowers fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels
Because its action is glucose-dependent, the risk of hypoglycemia is low when used alone.
Recommended dose: 100 mg once daily.
May be taken with or without food.
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Patients with moderate to severe renal impairment require dose reduction (usually 50 mg or 25 mg daily).
Renal function should be assessed before starting treatment and periodically thereafter.
Always follow the prescribing physician’s instructions.
