Ocupres Eye Drop 0.50% contains Timolol Maleate, a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in conditions such as glaucoma and ocular hypertension. By lowering eye pressure, it helps prevent optic nerve damage and reduces the risk of vision loss when used regularly as prescribed.

Composition
-
Active Ingredient: Timolol Maleate 0.50% (ophthalmic solution)
Mechanism of Action
Timolol Maleate works by reducing the production of aqueous humor in the eye. It blocks beta-adrenergic receptors in the ciliary body, leading to decreased fluid formation. This results in a reduction of intraocular pressure, which is crucial in managing glaucoma and preventing optic nerve damage.

Open-angle glaucoma
-
Ocular hypertension

Elevated intraocular pressure following eye surgery (as advised by physician)
