Non-opioid analgesics
Napa 500 mg is indicated for the relief of pain and fever associated with a wide range of conditions, including:
Fever, common cold, and influenza
Headache, toothache, earache, and body ache
Myalgia, neuralgia, and dysmenorrhoea
Sprains, colic pain, and back pain
Post-operative and postpartum pain
Inflammatory pain and post-vaccination pain in children
Rheumatic pain and osteoarthritic pain with joint stiffness
Its broad spectrum of indications makes it suitable for routine use in general practice as well as home care.
Paracetamol possesses analgesic and antipyretic properties with only weak anti-inflammatory activity. It primarily acts in the central nervous system, where it increases the pain threshold and reduces fever by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1, COX-2, and COX-3) involved in prostaglandin synthesis.
Unlike aspirin and other NSAIDs, Napa 500 mg does not significantly affect platelet function or gastric mucosa, making it a safer option for patients who cannot tolerate aspirin. It is well absorbed after oral administration and provides fast and reliable symptom relief.
