Pharmacology

Dosage and Administration

Tablet (Immediate Release):

• Adults: 1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours; maximum 4 gm (8 tablets) daily

• Children (6–12 years): ½–1 tablet 3–4 times daily

Extended-Release Tablet:

• Adults and children over 12 years: Two tablets every 6–8 hours (maximum 6 tablets daily). Tablets must be swallowed whole.

Syrup/Suspension, Suppository, and Paediatric Drops:
Dosage varies according to age and body weight and should follow recommended guidelines to avoid overdose.

Drug Interactions
