Composition

Mechanism of Action

Indications

Mez Injection 500 mg/100 ml is indicated for:

• Anaerobic bacterial infections (e.g., intra-abdominal, pelvic, and soft tissue infections)

• Bacterial vaginosis

• Amebiasis and giardiasis

• Severe infections where oral therapy is not possible

Dosage and Administration

• Administer only under medical supervision

• Intravenous infusion is recommended over 30–60 minutes

• Typical adult dose: 500 mg every 8 hours, adjusted based on infection severity

• Monitor renal and liver function in prolonged therapy

• Ensure adequate hydration during administration

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with liver disease, seizures, or hematologic disorders
