Pharmacology

GastroLax combines natural fiber and stimulant components to relieve constipation effectively:

• Ispaghula Husk: Contains ~70% soluble and 30% insoluble fiber, absorbing up to 40 times its weight in water. It expands in the intestines, increasing stool bulk and regulating bowel movements.

• Ispaghula Seed: Supports gentle relief from constipation.

• Tinnevelly Senna Pods (Senna): Acts as a stimulant laxative. Sennosides in Senna activate intestinal muscles, facilitating stool passage and alleviating constipation.

The combination of these ingredients addresses both stool softening and gut motility, providing fast and effective relief from acute constipation.

Dosage & Administration

• Adults, seniors, and children over 12 years: 1–2 sachets once daily at night.

• Take at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before or after other medications.

• Mix the granules in a glass of water and consume immediately. Any remaining mixture should also be taken with water.

• Ensure adequate hydration, drinking 5–10 glasses of water daily.

• Use the smallest effective dose to achieve comfortable stools.

• Do not exceed 2 weeks of continuous use without consulting a healthcare provider.

Drug Interactions
