Ciprofloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, repair, and cell division. This action prevents bacteria from multiplying and ultimately leads to bacterial cell death. Because of its broad-spectrum activity, Ciprofloxacin is effective against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria commonly responsible for ocular infections.

How It Works

Dosage & Administration
