Vitabion Injection is a combination of Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), and Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) in a single injectable formulation. This preparation is designed to prevent and treat vitamin B deficiencies, support nerve function, and promote overall metabolic health. By replenishing essential B vitamins, Vitabion Injection helps in the management of neuropathies, anemia, and general nutritional deficiencies.

Vitabion Injection is indicated for:
Vitamin B Deficiencies: Preventing or treating deficiencies of vitamins B1, B6, and B12
Neuropathies: Management of peripheral neuropathy, neuritis, and radiculopathy
Anemia: Particularly megaloblastic anemia resulting from B12 or B6 deficiency
Metabolic Disorders: Supportive therapy in conditions with increased vitamin B requirements, such as chronic alcoholism, malabsorption syndromes, and pregnancy
Post-Surgical and Critical Care: To prevent nutritional deficiencies in patients requiring parenteral nutrition
Neurological Disorders: Supporting nerve regeneration in conditions like diabetic neuropathy or postherpetic neuralgia
Vitamin B Complex / Nutritional Supplement
Vitamin B1 (Thiamine): Plays a critical role in carbohydrate metabolism and energy production. It is essential for proper nerve conduction and cardiac function.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine): Involved in amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and hemoglobin formation. It helps reduce homocysteine levels and supports cognitive and neurological functions.
Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin): Essential for DNA synthesis, red blood cell formation, and maintenance of the myelin sheath around nerves. Deficiency can lead to megaloblastic anemia and neurological disturbances.
When combined, these B vitamins work synergistically to maintain nerve health, support energy metabolism, and prevent hematological abnormalities. The injectable form ensures rapid absorption and immediate therapeutic effect, particularly useful in severe deficiencies or when oral supplementation is inadequate.
Adult Dose: 1–3 ml daily or as prescribed by the physician, either intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) injection
Children: Dose should be adjusted according to age, weight, and severity of deficiency; typically under strict medical supervision
Duration: Dependent on the patient’s condition, deficiency severity, and response to therapy
Administration Note: For IV use, the injection should be diluted in an appropriate volume of sterile saline or dextrose solution and administered slowly under medical supervision
May interact with certain antibiotics (e.g., chloramphenicol) by reducing efficacy
Alcohol and some anticonvulsants may increase vitamin B requirements
Folate supplementation may mask B12 deficiency; monitor accordingly
Hypersensitivity to any component of the injection
Caution in patients with Leber’s disease (optic nerve atrophy due to B12 deficiency)
Vitabion Injection is generally well tolerated. Rare or mild adverse effects may include:
Local irritation, pain, or redness at the injection site
Nausea, vomiting, or mild gastrointestinal discomfort
Rare allergic reactions, including rash, itching, or anaphylaxis
Generally considered safe under medical supervision
Can be used to prevent vitamin B deficiencies during pregnancy and lactation
Administer under strict medical supervision
Monitor for signs of hypersensitivity, especially with first administration
Adjust doses in patients with renal or hepatic impairment
Store at 2–30°C, protected from light
Keep out of reach of children
Do not use if the solution is discolored or contains particulates
Vitabion Injection replenishes essential B vitamins, supporting nerve conduction, red blood cell production, and metabolic processes. Thiamine enhances carbohydrate metabolism, pyridoxine supports neurotransmitter synthesis, and cyanocobalamin maintains myelin integrity and hematopoiesis. Together, they prevent and treat neurological and hematological complications due to deficiencies.
