Trocer 2.6 mg Sublingual Tablet is a fast-acting nitrate preparation used for the acute relief and prevention of anginal attacks associated with coronary artery disease. It works rapidly when placed under the tongue, making it effective during sudden episodes of chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.

Acute relief of angina pectoris attacks
Acute prophylaxis of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease
Nitrates: Coronary vasodilators
Trocer 2.6 mg releases free radical nitric oxide (NO) in the body. Nitric oxide activates guanylate cyclase, leading to increased levels of guanosine 3’,5’-monophosphate (cGMP) in smooth muscle and other tissues. This results in dephosphorylation of myosin light chains, relaxation of vascular smooth muscle, and subsequent vasodilatation. The reduced cardiac workload and improved coronary blood flow help relieve anginal pain.
One tablet should be placed under the tongue at the first sign of an acute anginal attack.
The dose may be repeated every 5 minutes if needed.
If chest pain persists after a total of 3 tablets within 15 minutes, immediate medical attention is required.
Additive hypotensive effects may occur with antihypertensive drugs, beta-blockers, phenothiazines, or other nitrates.
Marked orthostatic hypotension has been reported with concurrent use of calcium channel blockers.
Concomitant use with alcohol may cause hypotension.
Aspirin may enhance the vasodilatory and hemodynamic effects.
Ergotamine and related drugs should be avoided or closely monitored due to the risk of ergotism.
Concomitant use with sildenafil citrate is contraindicated due to severe hypotension risk.

Trocer 2.6 mg should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
It is not known whether the drug is excreted in human breast milk.
Use the smallest effective dose to control anginal attacks.
