Indications

Radiglip Tablet 50 mg is indicated for:

• Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Improvement of glycemic control in adults

• Use as monotherapy when diet and exercise are insufficient

• Combination therapy with:

  • Metformin

  • Sulfonylureas

  • Insulin

  • Thiazolidinediones

It is not indicated for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Mechanism of Action

Sitagliptin works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which is responsible for breaking down incretin hormones such as GLP-1 and GIP. These hormones help regulate blood glucose by:

• Increasing insulin secretion in a glucose-dependent manner
