Dosage and Administration

Pen Preparation / Cartridge Change

• Remove the pen cap

• Unscrew and remove the cartridge sleeve

• Remove the empty cartridge if present

• Insert a new cartridge into the sleeve

• Push the threaded rod back completely

• Reattach the cartridge sleeve by turning it securely

Attaching the Pen Needle

• Remove the peel-off foil from the pen needle

• Twist the pen needle firmly onto the cartridge sleeve

• Remove the outer needle cap and keep it for safe disposal

• Remove and discard the inner needle cap

Priming / Function Check

• Dial a test dose of at least 2 units

• Hold the pen upright and gently tap to move air bubbles upward

• Press the push-button until insulin drops appear at the needle tip

Injection Technique

• Insert the needle and press the push-button fully

• Keep the push-button pressed during medication delivery

• After insulin delivery, wait for 6 seconds

• Slowly remove the pen needle

After Injection

• Carefully place the outer needle cap back on

• Unscrew and dispose of the used pen needle safely

• Remove the pen needle after every injection

Storage Conditions

• Store and use at room temperature at or below 30°C

• Always keep the pen capped when not in use

• Store the pen without a pen needle attached

• Protect from water, dust, and moisture

• Clean the pen with a damp cloth only
