Composition

Indications

N-Sol 5 Eye Drop 5% is indicated for:

• Corneal edema (swelling of the cornea)
• Bullous keratopathy
• Post-operative corneal swelling
• Eye discomfort due to fluid retention in corneal tissue
• Supportive therapy in certain corneal disorders

Mechanism of Action

Hypertonic Sodium Chloride works by creating an osmotic gradient:

• Draws excess fluid out of the corneal stroma
• Reduces corneal swelling and clouding
• Improves visual clarity
• Relieves irritation caused by corneal edema

Dosage and Administration

• Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by a physician
• Usually applied 3–4 times daily or as needed
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface
• Remove contact lenses before use and wait before reinsertion

Side Effects

• Temporary burning or stinging sensation
