Mechanism of Action

Megafil 10 mg works by selectively inhibiting PDE5:

• In the penis: Increases cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) levels, causing relaxation of smooth muscle in the corpus cavernosum and improved penile blood flow, facilitating erection.

• In the prostate and bladder: Relaxes smooth muscle, improving blood flow to the urinary tract and widening the bladder neck, which helps relieve urinary symptoms associated with BPH.

Dosage and Administration

Erectile Dysfunction:

• Recommended starting dose: 10 mg orally as needed, taken prior to sexual activity.

• Dose may be increased to 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg depending on efficacy and tolerability.

• Maximum frequency: once daily.

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia:
