Each ml of ophthalmic suspension contains:
Loteprednol Etabonate 0.5%
Gatifloxacin 0.3%
Ophthalmic Steroid + Fluoroquinolone Antibiotic
Lotepro G Suspension is indicated for steroid-responsive inflammatory conditions of the eye where bacterial infection is present or suspected. These include:
Post-operative ocular inflammation following eye surgery
Inflammatory eye conditions with concurrent bacterial infection
Prevention and treatment of post-surgical ocular infections
Conditions affecting the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior segment of the eye where combined anti-inflammatory and antibacterial therapy is required
Loteprednol Etabonate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by inhibiting multiple inflammatory mediators. It induces phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, which block the release of arachidonic acid and reduce the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. This leads to decreased redness, swelling, pain, and tissue damage associated with ocular inflammation.
Gatifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and repair. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria commonly responsible for ocular infections.
The combination ensures rapid control of inflammation while simultaneously eliminating bacterial pathogens.
The dosage of Lotepro G Suspension should be determined by a physician based on the severity of the condition.
Typically, 1 drop is instilled into the affected eye(s) 2 to 4 times daily
In severe cases, dosing frequency may be increased during the initial phase of treatment

Convenient combination improves patient compliance
Lotepro G Suspension is contraindicated in:
Viral, fungal, or mycobacterial infections of the eye
Patients with known hypersensitivity to loteprednol, gatifloxacin, other corticosteroids, fluoroquinolones, or any component of the formulation
Possible side effects include transient burning or stinging sensation, blurred vision, increased intraocular pressure, delayed wound healing, secondary infections, and, with prolonged use, risk of glaucoma or cataract formation.
For ophthalmic use only
Prolonged use of corticosteroids may increase intraocular pressure; monitoring is recommended if used for more than 10 days
Use with caution in patients with a history of herpes simplex infection
