Indications

• Hypertension: 0.07 mg/kg/day, up to 5 mg once daily

Interactions

Contraindications

• Concomitant use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes or renal impairment

Overdose Management

• Symptoms: Hypotension, tachycardia/bradycardia, shock, dizziness, electrolyte imbalance

• Treatment: Normal saline infusion, gastric lavage, activated charcoal, dialysis if necessary, IV catecholamines or angiotensin II infusion in severe cases
