Eburic Tablet 40 mg contains Febuxostat, a selective xanthine oxidase inhibitor used for the long-term management of hyperuricemia associated with gout. It effectively lowers elevated serum uric acid levels, helping to prevent gout flares and reduce the formation of urate crystals in joints and tissues. Eburic Tablet is suitable for patients who are unable to tolerate or do not respond adequately to other uric acid–lowering therapies.

Each tablet contains:
Febuxostat 40 mg
Xanthine oxidase inhibitor
Antigout agent
Febuxostat works by selectively inhibiting xanthine oxidase, the enzyme responsible for the conversion of hypoxanthine and xanthine into uric acid. By reducing uric acid production, febuxostat effectively lowers serum urate concentrations without affecting other enzymes involved in purine and pyrimidine metabolism.
Unlike some traditional therapies, febuxostat is primarily metabolized in the liver and can be used in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment under medical supervision. Regular use helps dissolve existing urate deposits and prevents the formation of new crystals, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of gout attacks over time.
Eburic Tablet 40 mg is indicated for:
Chronic hyperuricemia in patients with gout
Prevention of gout flares
Management of uric acid overproduction
It is not intended for the treatment of acute gout attacks but helps in long-term disease control.
