Bexipred Suspension 1% contains Prednisolone Acetate, a potent corticosteroid widely used in ophthalmology for the management of inflammatory and allergic conditions of the eye. It is formulated as a sterile ophthalmic suspension designed to deliver targeted anti-inflammatory action directly to ocular tissues, thereby reducing inflammation, redness, swelling, and discomfort.
Prednisolone Acetate is particularly effective due to its enhanced penetration into ocular structures, making Bexipred Suspension 1% a reliable choice for short-term treatment of steroid-responsive eye conditions under medical supervision.

Ophthalmic Corticosteroid
Bexipred Suspension 1% is indicated for the treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory conditions of the eye, including:
Allergic conjunctivitis
Anterior uveitis
Iritis and iridocyclitis
Keratitis (non-infectious)
Post-operative ocular inflammation
Chemical, thermal, or radiation-induced eye inflammation
It may also be used in other ocular conditions where suppression of inflammation is required, as determined by an ophthalmologist.
Prednisolone Acetate is a synthetic glucocorticoid with strong anti-inflammatory properties. It works by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, reducing capillary permeability, and suppressing leukocyte infiltration at the site of inflammation. This results in rapid relief from redness, pain, swelling, and photophobia.
Due to its acetate formulation, Prednisolone Acetate exhibits superior ocular tissue penetration compared to other corticosteroids, ensuring effective local action with minimal systemic absorption when used as directed.
Bexipred Suspension 1% is for ophthalmic use only.
