Ascon-F Inhaler (100 mcg + 6 mcg per puff) is a fixed-dose combination of Beclomethasone Dipropionate and Formoterol Fumarate, formulated for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This inhaler combines an inhaled corticosteroid with a long-acting beta-2 agonist to provide both anti-inflammatory and bronchodilator effects, helping patients achieve better symptom control and improved respiratory function.

Beclomethasone Dipropionate: 100 mcg per puff
Formoterol Fumarate: 6 mcg per puff
Dosage Form: Metered dose inhaler
Inhaled Corticosteroid + Long-Acting Beta-2 Agonist (ICS + LABA)
Anti-asthmatic and Bronchodilator
Ascon-F Inhaler is indicated for:
Bronchial Asthma requiring maintenance therapy
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) with reversible airway obstruction
Prevention of asthma symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and cough
Long-term control of airway inflammation and bronchoconstriction
Beclomethasone Dipropionate is an inhaled corticosteroid that works by reducing inflammation, edema, and mucus production in the airways. It helps prevent airway hyper-responsiveness and reduces the frequency and severity of asthma exacerbations.
Formoterol Fumarate is a long-acting, selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist that relaxes bronchial smooth muscle, resulting in sustained bronchodilation. It has a rapid onset of action and provides long-lasting relief from bronchospasm for up to 12 hours.
The combination ensures complementary action—beclomethasone controls airway inflammation while formoterol maintains airway patency—leading to improved lung function, better symptom control, and reduced need for rescue medication when used regularly.
The usual recommended dose is 1–2 puffs twice daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
The inhaler should be used regularly for maximum benefit, even when symptoms are controlled.
Patients should rinse their mouth with water after inhalation to reduce the risk of oral candidiasis.
Not intended for the relief of acute asthma attacks.
Ascon-F Inhaler is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects include:
Hoarseness or throat irritation
Oral thrush
Headache
Tremor or palpitations
Cough after inhalation
Most side effects are mild and can be minimized with proper inhaler technique.
