Pharmacology

Aluminium Hydroxide:

Dosage and Administration

Adults and children over 12 years:

• 1–2 chewable tablets after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician

Children 6–12 years:

• 1 chewable tablet after meals and at bedtime, or as prescribed

Children under 6 years:

• Use only under medical supervision

Drug Interactions

• Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide may reduce absorption of certain drugs, including tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, and iron supplements.

• Administer other oral medications at least 2 hours before or after taking Antacid Max.
